PARLIAMENTARY COMMITTEE: AL-SUDANI’S VISIT WILL HAVE POSITIVE RESULTS ON THE IRAQI REALITY SOON
Today, Sunday (April 14, 2024), the Parliamentary Foreign Relations Committee expected that the visit of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani would have positive results on the Iraqi reality during the near future stage .
Committee member Mukhtar Al-Moussawi told Baghdad Al-Youm: “We expect that Al-Sudani’s visit will have positive results on the Iraqi reality, especially on the economic file of the dollar issue and the sanctions on some Iraqi banks, and this visit will work to strengthen and enhance the financial and economic situation of Iraq.”
Al-Moussawi stated, “Through his visit to the White House and the meeting with the American administration, Al-Sudani will seek to resolve files related to the financial and economic dimension. The visit will focus primarily on these two files, and the results of the visit will be seen on the ground soon, especially with the issue of reducing the price of the dollar during the next stage.”
The Sudanese visit to Washington is dominated by the idea of creating an alternative and new relationship between Iraq and the United States of America that is not limited to the military and security aspects. Therefore, economic figures and others specialized in the environment, energy, pharmaceutical industry and other sectors dominated the list of the delegation accompanying the Sudanese, which consists of about 130 figures.
