Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi affirmed on Tuesday that the government has adopted an ambitious policy focused on combating corruption, implementing economic reforms, and consolidating the values of integrity and transparency, in order to improve the level of services and provide a favorable investment environment.
The Prime Minister's Media Office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi met on Tuesday evening with Prime Minister of the Republic of Rwanda Justin Nsengiyumva in New York, on the sidelines of his participation in the meetings of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly."
The statement added that "the meeting discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation across various fields, particularly in the economic and trade sectors, with a focus on maximizing investment opportunities in a manner that achieves mutual benefit for both friendly countries."
The Prime Minister affirmed, according to the statement, the possibility of benefiting from "Rwanda's experience in human resource development," noting that "the government has adopted an ambitious policy focused on combating corruption, implementing economic reforms, and consolidating the values of integrity and transparency, in order to improve the level of services and provide a favorable investment environment."
For his part, the Rwandan Prime Minister highlighted "the importance of strengthening relations with Iraq across various fields," expressing "his country's readiness to cooperate in the sectors of economic development, human resources, investment, and infrastructure."
