Twenty hours of electricity preparation.. Smart meters to be installed in Anbar, 7 OCT

Alaa Samir Al-Rashed, Director General of Central Electricity, made the announcement on Sunday that smart meters with a 20-hour supply will soon be installed in the city of Fallujah.

According to Al-Rashed, “the Ministry of Electricity has prepared a plan according to which smart meters will be installed for citizens’ homes in Anbar by a specialized company authorized by the ministry, with an increase in the governorate’s share of electricity to reach 20 hours of supply per day.” Al-Rashed also stated that the plan would be implemented in Anbar.

“The Ministry of Electricity will carry out, within the next few days, a project to install smart meters for four residential neighborhoods in Fallujah as a first phase, and then the project will be generalized in all neighborhoods of the city,” he added. “The Ministry of Electricity will carry out, within the next few days.”

“Installing smart meters will reduce electricity waste and contribute to reducing the collection of electricity bills for citizens by installing these meters on mobile devices to know electricity consumption and notify citizens of the number of hours of operation and outage without the need to visit the Electricity Department,” he explained.

He emphasized that “the Ministry of Electricity has ordered the cancellation of old meters in the city of Fallujah and replacing them with free smart meters for citizens in an experiment that is the first of its kind in Anbar” and that “the Ministry of Electricity will begin preparing four residential neighborhoods and meeting all their needs before installing smart meters.”

I was also told to watch for yet more articles in the news about the project to delete the zeros but to be aware that ONLY the ones coming from her committee on this subject matter can be trusted.

As you know my contact works on the committee from the Central Bank and it has been given the task of ensuring a smooth process. I was also told

that in late November or early December we will see the newer lower denominations and their pictures and features depicted on the CBI site

The ending of the currency auctions at the end of 2024 will also be signal to us that everything is moving correctly and we should see the IQD returned or reinstated back to FOREX in early 2025.

Financial expert explains the reason for the rise in the dollar price in the parallel market : 132 IQD= $100 USD , 6 OCT

On Sunday, a member of the Central Bank’s Board of Directors, Ahmed Brihi, explained the real reason for the rise in the dollar exchange rate in the parallel market. He said that the Central Bank still uses the rate of 132 dinars for every 100 US dollars and that the Iraqi dinar is stable.

Brihi stated, “The Central Bank’s measures have nothing to do with the rise in the dollar exchange rate in the local market because the bank still adopts the exchange rate of 132 dinars for the 100 US dollars denomination.”

“The reason behind the rise in the exchange rate in the parallel market is due to the rise in demand for the dollar, especially by small traders who do not deal with the Central Bank, such as those who deal with essential goods imported at their own expense from abroad, because they believe that security events will worsen and that the need for demand for goods will increase so that they can achieve higher profits,” he added.

“The reason behind the rise in the exchange rate in the parallel market is due to the rise in demand for the dollar.” It is interesting to note that buying prices increased in exchange shops in Baghdad’s local markets, with the selling price reaching 154,750 Iraqi dinars for one dollar and the buying price reaching 152,750 dinars for one dollar.

Everybody should be going, 'come on Iraq!  Come on World Bank!  Come on Bank of International Settlements, IMF, US Treasury, US Federal Reserve!'

All those players have been involved and they still are...They are not going to have a 1310 exchange rate.

They're going to move to a Real Effective Exchange Rate based on fundamentals based off their non-oil products, non-oil revenues that will exceed in may cases oil output.

Kuwait revokes citizenship of 2 linked to Iraq’s "Theft of the Century", 6 OCT

Shafaq News/ Kuwait has decided to revoke the citizenship of two individuals linked to the high-profile "Theft of the Century" case in Iraq, which involved the embezzlement of tax deposits.

Iraq had previously announced that the two individuals held dual nationality.

According to Kuwait's Al-Rai newspaper, five decrees and two decisions were published in the official gazette, "Kuwait Today", on Sunday, stripping 63 people—55 women and 8 men—of their citizenship for various reasons. Two individuals were mentioned in connection with the "Theft of the Century" case in August.

"The first decree revoked the citizenship of 31 women based on Article 13, Paragraph 4, of the 1959 Kuwaiti Nationality Law, which allows for the withdrawal of citizenship if deemed necessary for the state's supreme interests or external security. The decree also permits revoking citizenship from dependents who obtained it through the person being stripped of nationality. The second decree similarly withdrew citizenship from 22 women under the same legal grounds."

"The third decree revoked citizenship from two men and their dependents under Article 13, Paragraph 1, of the nationality law, which allows for citizenship revocation if it was obtained through fraud or false statements. A fourth decree revoked the citizenship of one woman under similar grounds."

"The fifth decree removed the citizenship of one man and his dependents, citing reasons aligned with those in the first and second decrees (Article 13, Paragraph 4)," according to the newspaper.

Additionally, the Kuwaiti Cabinet issued two decisions. The first revoked the foundational citizenship of five men and their dependents under Article 21 bis (A) of the Nationality Law, which allows for revocation if citizenship was granted based on fraud, false statements, or invalid certificates. The second decision revoked the citizenship of one woman and her dependents for similar reasons.

The "Theft of the Century" refers to the disappearance of 3.7 trillion Iraqi dinars (approximately $2.5 billion) from tax deposits. The scandal was uncovered shortly before the end of former Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi’s government. Iraq’s Integrity Commission and judiciary have since launched investigations, issuing arrest warrants. One of the first to be arrested was businessman Noor Zuhair, who was released on bail but later fled the country. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities working to recover the stolen funds and uncover the full extent of the case.

This remains an open file within the Iraqi judiciary, with efforts to recover the embezzled money still ongoing.

Iraq and UN sign $3M Peace and Stability Project in Sinjar document to support stability , 6 OCT

Shafaq News/ On Sunday, Iraq and the United Nations signed the Peace and Stability Project document, with a total funding of three million dollars.

The Ministry of Planning stated, “The project was initiated under the ministry's auspices, funded by the United Nations, and executed by three UN agencies: the United Nations Development Programme, the International Organization for Migration, and UN Women.”

"This project supports stability in Sinjar and aims to achieve sustainability in areas of training and development. It includes infrastructure components and elements related to training and social cohesion." The ministry further noted, "This portion of support is provided by the UN in Iraq amidst current crises and circumstances, which the government is addressing to rebuild Sinjar and the liberated areas affected by ISIS."

The project was signed on the Iraqi side by Nineveh Governor Abdul Qadir al-Dakhil and on behalf of the United Nations by UN Development Programme representative in Iraq Auke Lootsma, in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning for Technical Affairs, Maher Hammad Johan, and the Director General of the International Cooperation Department, Saher Abdul Kazem.

Situation in Sinjar

ISIS militants had overrun Sinjar in 2014, committing atrocities against the Yazidi population. Peshmerga forces recaptured the district the following year.

Following tensions between the Kurdistan Region and the federal government over the 2017 independence referendum, the Iraqi army, backed by the Popular Mobilization Forces, assumed control of Sinjar.

Currently, Sinjar has two local administrations: one appointed by the federal government and another operating from the Duhok Governorate.

The Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) also maintains a pro-PKK faction in Sinjar known as the Sinjar Protection Units, which receives Iraqi government funds as part of the Popular Mobilization Forces.

Baghdad and Erbil reached an agreement in October 2020 to normalize the situation in Sinjar, including joint administration of the district. However, the agreement remains stalled due to political reasons, according to Kurdish officials.

Iraqi PM warns Biden, EU of "dangerous slippery slope" in Middle East, 6 OCT

Shafaq News/ Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani warned US President Joe Biden and European Union leaders on Sunday that the Middle East is on the verge of a "dangerous slippery slope" that could lead to prolonged wars, threatening global stability.

In a letter addressed to Biden and EU leaders, al-Sudani cautioned that the region is facing escalating threats due to the ongoing Israeli war with Palestinian group Hamas in Gaza, which has expanded into neighboring Lebanon.

“With the passing of a year since the events of October 7, 2023, and the continued Zionist aggression on Gaza, extending to our brotherly Lebanon, and threatening the entire region, Iraq recalls its early warning about the consequences of this expansion,” al-Sudani said in a statement.

He emphasized Iraq's longstanding opposition to what he described as the "occupying entity’s" efforts to widen the conflict and the international community's failure to curb these actions.

“We are now at the precipice of a dangerous slippery slope that could drag the region and the world into continuous wars,” al-Sudani said, highlighting the global ramifications, including potential shocks to the world economy and energy supplies.

The Iraqi premier praised French President Emmanuel Macron for calling to halt arms supplies to Israel and advocating for an end to the conflict. "This is a position that comes from a true understanding of the dangers facing the region," al-Sudani noted.

He stressed that his government has worked to shield Iraq from the escalating violence, "with significant effort and cooperation with global partners," but called for renewed focus on protecting civilians and preventing a broader war.

“We must make it our top priority to stop the targeting of civilians and save the region from the ravages of a war that will leave no winners, only death, destruction, and chaos,” al-Sudani added, reaffirming Iraq’s commitment to diplomatic efforts for de-escalation.

At least 26 people have been killed and 93 others wounded after Israeli airstrikes targeted a mosque and a school sheltering displaced people in the Gaza Strip, the Hamas-run health ministry has said.

The strikes on the mosque and the school, near the Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, came as the war between Israel and Palestinian militant group Hamas in the enclave approaches its first anniversary tomorrow.

Israel has destroyed hospitals, schools and residential areas, claiming Hamas was operating under them but providing no proof of its claims. Rights organisations say these attacks amount to war crimes.

According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, at least 41,870 Palestinians have been killed and 97,166 others injured since the war began on October 7.

Very important suggestion for speculators in this "Camper Event" BY GINGER, 6 OCT

 GINGER

Very important suggestion for speculators in this "Camper Event"

๐Ÿ’ขScenario:

You've received your notification to set up your appointment. There will be an electronic version of NDA for you to sign so as you do not disclose the time, date, location or purpose of your exchange/redemption appointment. That being said, if you have a family member from out of town who will be joining you (as your confidante) to your appointment, then plan ahead what you will communicate with them because at this point you've not have had the opportunity to submit your addendum to the NDA (who you're telling them you'll need to communicate openly with - such as, regarding project).

So, think ahead how you'll communicate with this person.

๐Ÿ’ข What Not to say: I just scheduled my Redemption Appointment for Wednesday. Catch the next plane to meet me here/there (if another town). ๐Ÿ˜ฌ [You just blew your electronic NDA] ๐Ÿฅบ See how easy that was?! ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ฎ‍๐Ÿ’จ

๐Ÿ’ข What TO Say: I just got us tickets for the concert for Wednesday. [See how easy that was? No mention of anything relating to RV] ✅  Plan ahead. Communicate.  ✅

๐Ÿ’ข Come up with your story -- your explanation of your changed lifestyle.

Unfortunately, none of us can hide any bigger purchase such as a new car or new home.

So if wondering minds or curious folks ask you about any lifestyle change, prepare right now what you're going to say without violating your NDA.

(Remember! The paper version will be in greater, specific, detail than the quick electronic one prior to the appt.

And if you want to be able to speak openly with someone - such as a family member who didn't attend the appointment with you, then by all means they will allow you to take a copy home for that person to read and sign - which you'll then send in).

๐Ÿ’ข Suggestions:

Them: I see you driving a new car, that's really nice. Where'd $ come from for that? (Yes people can be that nosey and pry by asking inappropriate questions ๐Ÿ˜œ).

You: I made an investment a while back and it turned out well. (Short and simple. No more detail.)

✨ This will be my story. I came up this years ago. Folks will know I'm not going to be working my same FT job, so I have my plan as to what I'm going to say in advance if any questions arise -- as I will be stepping into my role as a humanitarian. ๐Ÿ™

✨ In case someone asks: "So what are you doing now?"

✨ "My new job is exciting. I've taken the role as a Director and Project Manager for a philanthropic organization. Travel is covered and car allowance is nice, etc. My goal will be to serve others and I will oversee projects that will make the world a better place. ๐Ÿ™‚ Short and simple.

๐Ÿ’ข This is a smart angle because I will be seen as just a liaison - serving within an organization (leader unnamed for confidentiality) - not as the person holding the purse strings!

๐Ÿ’ข You do not want to come out from this event bragging or letting on that you've come into wealth as a high net worth individual. That's a sure way to make your life miserable because it'll put a huge target on your back. Instead, I'll pay for many wonderful things for others, but it'll always appear that the funding is coming from an entity other than me. "I'll let my boss know..." sorta thing. ๐Ÿ™‚ No one will know I'm giving funding. Everything will be done under the veil of anonymity for safety.  ๐Ÿ™

๐Ÿ’ข Moreover, by choosing an explanation early on, this strategy will also help you avoid breaking a legally binding NDA. The less you tell others, the best! ✅

๐Ÿ’ข And, in closing, "Nunya" also works. ๐Ÿ˜œ

"Nunya? What's that? ๐Ÿค”"

"It's Nunya Business" and walk away. ๐Ÿ˜

THIS might work for some of you.

⬇️

YOU do NOT owe anyone an explanation. The less you divulge, the best! ✅

Hope this helps ๐Ÿ™❤️๐Ÿ™
