Iraq’s Prime Minister Embarks on Regional Tour Amid Gaza Crisis, 5 NOV

Iraq’s Prime Minister Embarks on Regional Tour Amid Gaza Crisis

The Gaza conflict, a volatile brew between Israel and Hamas, has ignited concerns about a potential regional conflagration, with Iraq, a neighboring country, under the spotlight. Stepping up to tackle the delicate situation, Iraq’s Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani, is poised to commence a regional tour on Monday to deliberate on the evolving crisis in Gaza, commencing in Tehran and spanning several Gulf capitals.

Seeking a Ceasefire, Avoiding Regional Conflict

The Prime Minister, in concert with Iraq’s Foreign Minister, Fuad Hussein, underscored the urgency of forestalling a regional conflict and shielding Iraq from the war’s crossfire. The duo advocated for an immediate ceasefire and the creation of safe corridors to facilitate the influx of humanitarian aid into the beleaguered Gaza Strip.

International Attention, US Intervention, and Egypt’s Concerns

The Gaza situation has magnetized global attention, with Arab leaders rallying for an immediate ceasefire. U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, currently on his second regional trip, has been besieged by Arab leaders to persuade Israel to cease its military operations in Gaza. However, Blinken expressed apprehensions that a premature ceasefire might merely provide Hamas a window to regroup and relaunch attacks on Israel. He emphasized Israel’s inherent right and obligation to defend itself while acknowledging the necessity to seek an end to hostilities.

Meanwhile, Egypt has expressed deep concerns about a potential mass exodus of Palestinians from Gaza into the Sinai Peninsula. Israel’s total blockade, barring the entry of essential supplies into Gaza, has exacerbated the humanitarian crisis, prompting Egypt to seek U.S. mediation. Despite Israel’s stiff stance, it has permitted the passage of limited aid through the Rafah border crossing.

Impact on Jordan and Lebanon

Jordan, already roiled by widespread protests against Israel’s actions, is anxious about the potential expulsion of Palestinians from Gaza and the West Bank. The Jordanian government has rebuffed reports of permitting the U.S. to funnel weapons to Israel via Jordan, even as it reaffirms its commitment to rekindle the Israeli-Palestinian peace process.

Lebanon, ensnared in a historical enmity with Israel and host to the potent Shiite militia Hizbollah, is teetering on the brink of a broader conflict. Even as Hizbollah declares its disinterest in a war with Israel, it remains a staunch member of the axis of resistance, which includes Iran, Syria, and other militant groups. Navigating this precarious situation, Hizbollah has received stern warnings from Israel and the U.S. to desist from escalation.

The Quest for Diplomatic Solutions

The Gaza conflict underscores the interwoven nature of the Middle East and the potential for regional conflicts to spiral out of control. As Iraq’s Prime Minister embarks on his regional tour, the focus will be on unearthing diplomatic solutions and preventing the conflict from further ensnaring the region.

RAISE THE HIGHEST STATE OF ALERT AND PREPARE FULLY TO DEFEND IRAQ’S SOVEREIGNTY, 5 NOV

RAISE THE HIGHEST STATE OF ALERT AND PREPARE FULLY TO DEFEND IRAQ’S SOVEREIGNTY

The Popular Mobilization Authority held an expanded meeting headed by the Authority’s Chief of Staff, Abdulaziz Al-Muhammadawi, and in the presence of the Secretary-General, the Secretary, the operations commanders, the commanders of the brigades and formations, and the directors of the supporting factions in the Authority, where Al-Muhammadawi directed that the state of maximum alert be raised in preparation for dealing with any emergency during the days that may be coming.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Commission’s Chief of Staff praised “the results achieved by the Al-Aqsa Flood epic, which defeated the myth of the defeated entity and confirmed the fact that it was weaker than a spider’s web and placed its military and security apparatus in a state of confusion and shock despite the passage of nearly a month since that heroic operation,” according to a statement issued by the Commission.
The Chief of Staff of the Mobilization Forces also renewed “condemnation and denunciation of the crimes and massacres of the Zionist occupation against our defenseless Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the tragic situation there as a result of the occupation’s practices,” praising “the statement of the supreme religious authority in support of the cause of the Palestinian people and the positions of the Iraqi government and the Prime Minister in solidarity and support.” And sending aid, as well as the rest of the popular and community activities denouncing the brutal aggression against our people in Gaza.
According to the statement, “During the meeting, the most prominent security developments and challenges in the various sectors of operations were reviewed, and the extent of the high readiness enjoyed by the Popular Mobilization Forces, along with the rest of the security sectors, to maintain the state of great security stability that Iraq is witnessing.”
He directed to “raise the state of maximum alert in preparation for dealing with any emergency in the coming days and to emphasize the high readiness of all our fighters in the various sectors and formations and the full readiness to defend the country’s sovereignty and its national borders.”
On the 27th day of the war on the Gaza Strip, the Strip is being bombed in various parts of it, and the number of Palestinian martyrs has risen to 8,805, compared to 22,219 wounded.
On the other hand, the Israeli army announced that the number of its soldiers killed had risen to 16 in the ongoing clashes with the Palestinians during the ground operation it has been carrying out since Tuesday.
(It is evident that Iraq is very pro-Palestine and favors the terrorists rather than the Israeli military and their efforts. The author even calls the terrorists “martyrs”. The author even calls the western allies with Israel “Zionists” a term often used by the terrorists themselves. This attitude towards Isael and towards the west is not good for Iraq and can only hurt them.)

Al-Maliki: America is putting pressure on Sudanese to protect its bases in Iraq

Al-Maliki - America is putting pressure on Sudanese to protect its bases in IraqInformation/Baghdad..
A member of the State of Law coalition, Abbas al-Maliki, confirmed today, Friday, that America is putting pressure on Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani, with the aim of protecting its bases and putting pressure to stop the attacks it is being exposed to, while al-Sudani has no connection to these attacks.
Al-Maliki told Al-Maalouma, “The Sudanese position was strong on the Palestinian issue, and therefore the Prime Minister cannot take less than the position he took, especially since the Iraqi street, political parties, religious authorities, and most sectors of the Iraqi people are unanimous in standing by the Palestinian people.”
He added, “The Palestinians are being subjected to genocide by the Zionist entity, and it is the duty of any Muslim to stand up for the truth, support the oppressed, and raise his voice against the oppressor, and this is what the Sudanese did. However, political calculations confirm that the American side is exerting pressure on the Sudanese as long as its bases are exposed to continuous bombing and targeting.” “.
He stated, “America believes that Iraq is the starting point for the continuous attacks on its bases in the region, whether in Syria or Iraq, and therefore Washington is putting pressure on Sudanese with the aim of stopping these attacks, while Sudanese is not linked to any party that carries out these attacks or can stop them.”

"RV UPDATE" BY PIMPY, 4 NOV

 Pimpy

Things are still looking really good for Iraq.  They still manage to be keeping their nose out of what's going on over there in the Middle East even though it starting to escalate...

I still think the Iraqi dinar is going to go up in increments.  I'm anticipating them to do at least one increase before the end of the year.  It looks like they don't have any choice and I'm curious to see what they're going to do...

There's so many things happening...We got elections coming up here soon.  Al-Sudani has been taking many good steps to warrant an opportunity to be the Prime Minister once again but if he doesn't control that currency it'll destabilize the economy as well as the currency itself and this is not going to go over very well with the people of Iraq.

If he increases the value of the Iraqi dinar that gives the people of Iraq a little bit more purchasing power at the same time stabilizing the currency and hopefully closing the gap between the fixed exchange rate versus the parallel rate.

“The Dinar Is Stronger Than The Dollar.” The Hypothesis That Is Absent From Reality!

Special Sumerian  2023-11-04 | 2,091 views  Everything has become high because of the dollar, a dangerous trade recession that the country is experiencing, amid warnings of an economic slide that may worsen the situation in the coming days.

According to experts, traders affiliated with influential parties and entities are the only beneficiaries of the platform affiliated with the Central Bank, and the government must come out immediately and be honest with the people about the truth of what is happening.

By simple calculation, the Central Bank sells an estimated two hundred thousand dollars daily, meaning that the daily profits of speculators are estimated at forty thousand dollars, reaching their total monthly. One million two hundred thousand dollars, which is equivalent to about two billion Iraqi dinars net for speculators per month.   LINK

Iraq Eyes Economic Diversification: New International Partnerships Extend Beyond Defense, 4 NOV

Iraq Eyes Economic Diversification: New International Partnerships Extend Beyond Defense

In a significant policy shift, the Prime Minister of Iraq, Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani, recently announced that the nation’s new international collaborations extend beyond defense and security. Al-Sudani emphasized that Iraq has blossomed into an attractive destination for global firms to invest and operate, particularly in the energy sector, signaling a rising tide of international confidence in the Iraqi economy.

Shifting Focus: Beyond Oil

Historically reliant on oil revenues, Iraq is now making strident efforts to diversify its economy. The government is actively courting foreign investment in sectors such as infrastructure, agriculture, and tourism, recognizing the untapped potential within these areas.

Energy: A Hotspot for Investment

Despite being a major exporter with one of the world’s largest oil reserves, Iraq is seeking to bolster its energy production and branch out into renewable energy. With abundant sunlight and wind resources, it offers an ideal location for solar and wind power projects, and is providing incentives and tax breaks to magnetize global investment.

Infrastructure, Agriculture, and Tourism: New Frontiers

Infrastructure remains a key concern, with many parts of Iraq still lacking basic services such as electricity, water, and transportation. The government is actively seeking international partnerships for these projects. Opportunities also abound in agriculture, with the government promoting investment in modern farming techniques to boost production and trim reliance on imports. Tourism, despite being hampered by years of conflict, is another sector being primed for investment, with new attractions and cultural events planned to draw in visitors.

Iraq: The Gateway to Asia and Europe

Al-Sudani’s announcement underscores Iraq’s strategic location, serving as a conduit for trade and investment between Asia and Europe. Already a member of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, Iraq has inked agreements with several nations to boost trade and investment, while also courting European firms.

Prime Minister Al-Sudani’s announcement shows Iraq’s commitment to attracting foreign investment and diversifying its economy. The nation’s untapped potential, coupled with its strategic location, positions it as an attractive destination for trade and investment. With the right strategies, Iraq could become a significant regional player, contributing to a broader regional prosperity.

‘Visa Direct’: A New Era of Digital Financial Transfers in Iraq, 4 NOV

‘Visa Direct’: A New Era of Digital Financial Transfers in Iraq, 4 NOV

The Central Bank of Iraq, in a strategic collaboration with the First Bank of Iraq and Visa, has rolled out the ‘Visa Direct’ service, a novel initiative aimed at enhancing digital financial transfers. This service is designed to ease the business operations of small merchants and assist in curbing the exchange rate in the parallel market, thereby aligning with the government’s vision for financial, banking, and economic management.

The ‘Visa Direct’ Service: A Boon for Small Merchants

The ‘Visa Direct’ service empowers customers to transfer up to five million dinars daily and 13 million dinars monthly at the official exchange rate. This provision not only facilitates small merchants with a streamlined and effective transaction process, but also aids in solidifying the currency and reducing the discrepancy between the fixed exchange rate and the parallel rate.

Modernizing the Financial Sector

Launching the ‘Visa Direct’ service is a move towards the digitization and modernization of the financial sector in Iraq. By promoting digital financial transfers, this service aims at improving financial inclusion and broadening access to banking services, particularly for small merchants who might not have direct access to traditional banking services.

Addressing Exchange Rate Volatility

The ‘Visa Direct’ service has the potential to minimize dependence on the parallel market and mitigate exchange rate fluctuations. By offering a safe and efficient platform for digital transfers, the ‘Visa Direct’ service may help diminish the demand for foreign currency in the parallel market and contribute to stabilizing the exchange rate.

Success Factors and Challenges

The success of the ‘Visa Direct’ service hinges on several factors. It requires widespread adoption and usage by merchants and customers. This will demand effective marketing and public education about the service’s benefits and convenience. Additionally, the service must address potential challenges related to security and fraud prevention. As digital transactions gain momentum, it becomes imperative to have robust security measures to safeguard financial information and assets of individuals and businesses.

Things are happening on the banking side... Article Quote: "Visa Direct tool...simple transfers for the citizens. The tool facilitates the demand for foreign currencies. Not just the dinar, Not just the dollar...They're talking about 160 currencies.  That's what they said.  It's not my words...That's a lot.  That's phenomenal.  That means what?  Iraq is going international with up to 160 currencies...

There's a little bit of turmoil going on with Kuwait...when it comes to demarcations ...Maritime borders are sovereign right too but the most important one is the 'unspoken Chapter VII'.  I believe the unspoken one is because of their currency exchange rate...Chapter VII has to do with the UN and until they are released and allowed to go Article VIII compliant with the IMF...ascend to the World Trade Organization...be able to have a valuation for their oil and gas law...That's what's in play right now...They are going to need an internationally accepted exchange rate.. .

Article quote: "Visa Direct...where money transfer services are aimed at transformation global money movementsbetween Iraq and the rest of the world."  That's talking about what we expect - an international exchange rate to facilitate international trade.  Without an international acceptable currency it's not going to happen in my view.

[via PDK]  Here is another one that is putting pressure on this “re-valuation”  "Amid war on Gaza – Egypt see highest exchange rate on US dollar in black market”  So in the middle east the dollar is gaining and will cause regional issues and inflation. They are painting themselves in a corner without a reset. They need rate changes.

Pretty quiet in Iraq as of this morning... A number of group leaders that have been in place since last week think this is it.   ...Bankers are really stoked and excited for this weekend.

My gut is still screaming that sometimes in the next few days or week we will be across the finish linemy analytical mind looking at documents, governments and articles say we will have it by Jan 1st.

I am hearing some very fun and interesting stuff that is telling me things are well underway, and we will see the manifestation of it very soon. I continue to get news from the middle east that things are already done  and we are waiting for it to implement.

Back in the days when Kuwait went –they kept it under wraps for about 10 days.  I don’t know if they can hide it that long in today’s world. But they continue to tell me they expect notifications soon.

Iraq’s Prime Minister Asserts Commitment to Stability Amidst Challenges, 4 NOV

Iraq’s Prime Minister Asserts Commitment to Stability Amidst Challenges

In a recent statement, Iraq’s Prime Minister, Mustafa al-Kadhimi, has emphatically asserted that Iraq is not a breeding ground for unrest or the source of crises for its neighbors and the global community. Al-Kadhimi’s remarks, appreciating Iraq’s endeavors to enhance relationships with nations worldwide, come amidst an array of challenges including security threats, political instability, an economic crisis, and the unending COVID-19 pandemic.

Resolute on Regional Stability

The Prime Minister’s comments underscore his government’s efforts to uplift Iraq’s international reputation and fortify its diplomatic ties. Al-Kadhimi stressed Iraq’s commitment to maintaining fruitful relationships with its neighboring nations and the global community, while striving for regional stability and cooperation.

The Journey Towards a Prosperous Future

Al-Kadhimi’s statements also depict a broader narrative that Iraq is transitioning from its tumultuous past towards a more stable and prosperous future. Despite the impediments it encounters, Iraq has made commendable progress in recent years, including the defeat of ISIS, restoration of security in many regions, and successful parliamentary elections.

Challenges Loom Large

While al-Kadhimi’s remarks echo positivity, it’s crucial to comprehend Iraq’s multifaceted reality. The nation continues to grapple with numerous issues, including ongoing security threats, political instability, corruption, and economic distress. Moreover, its relationship with certain neighbors, particularly Iran, remains a contentious topic.

Path Towards Stability and Prosperity

In order to persist on its path towards stability and prosperity, Iraq must confront these challenges and continue bolstering its relationships with its neighbors and the international community. This necessitates a comprehensive approach encompassing political, economic, and security reforms, continuous efforts to battle corruption, and the promotion of good governance.

Overall, while al-Kadhimi’s remarks reflect Iraq’s aspirations for stability and prosperity, it’s imperative to acknowledge the significant challenges that need to be addressed. Iraq’s triumph in overcoming these obstacles will hinge on the commitment and determination of its leaders, as well as the support and cooperation of the international community.

An economist warns about expanding electronic payment services: Do not be eager to solve these matters

An economist warns about expanding electronic payment services - Do not be eager to solve these mattersEconomic researcher Ziad Al-Hashemi confirmed on Thursday that expanding electronic payment services will provide a “partial solution” to the monetary problem in Iraq.
Al-Hashemi said in a post on the “X” platform, followed by “ Jarida ”, that “the new government measures to activate electronic payment services on a large scale are a step that will provide (a partial solution) to the monetary problem in Iraq, and we are awaiting other real solutions to address the rest of the chronic problems.”
He added, “But we should not expect electronic payment operations to solve the problem of rising exchange rates as a result of the leakage of the dollar from the economy to finance trade and illicit operations and support penalized economies.”
He explained, “This serious problem requires (political boldness) and (rigidity in decision-making) to solve, which it is clear so far that the Iraqi official system lacks and does not have any of its tools.”

MZ: Chatter continues to be great and we will see if anything happens over this weekend. We have a lot of group leaders that seem to think this is it.

MZ: I am hoping to hear from my bond contacts today –They were expecting liquidity today on the 4th. That was the expectation. Yesterday I heard they would get paid 1% in fiat and then the balance after the reset. But was told the elders were not happy about it.

Member: If elders were not happy about getting paid in fiat…sounds like they are waiting on us to be gold/asset backed……..we are all waiting for that imo

Member: If the Chinese elders are in charge of releasing the RV…Why don’t they????

Member: I believe the Chinese elders are waiting to see Perp walks of the Cabal. Now why they are waiting to do that. I have no idea.

MZ: China is active with drilling but now are expanding their presence  in Iraq: “ Chinas Zpec approved for oil operations in Iraq”  The US has dropped the ball again on another oil producing country and China is sliding right in there.

MZ: “ Failed bank information from Citizens Bank –Sac City IA”  There is another failed bank. This is from the FDIC This was quietly released yesterday but I have not seen it in Main Stream News yet.

MZ: “BRICS currency almost ready-Will be much more attractive than US dollar , Pound and Euro-Says Ex-Russian Minister”   When that happens this will be the death-knell of the petrodollar.  This article broke yesterday.

Member: Any news on the Iranian Rial?

MZ: I had another confirmation that it is expected to be about 30% less than the Iraq dinar. And is expected to go at the same time. That’s the last thing I heard.

MZ: I do have a bank story from Scottsdale….There is a TruWest Credit Union ATM in a facility (leaving out the company name) A rep comes to service this ATM…and a person who works there had a conversation with him. The Person asked the ATM service man “When are you bringing the new money  for this machine?- When do you get the new bills?” He smiled and said “Not Yet” ….Then the person asked “December?”  And he said “I don’t know when but soon”

MZ: In other words they have started the preparation process for banks and ATM’s.-IMO….. So getting somebody in real life saying they are preparing is a lovely bank story. ….This is not verbatim as I didn’t want to get anyone in trouble.

Member: We are in a small local bank. I asked yesterday if they were ready for the QFS. Her reaction said 'what are you talking about'...she did say they were upgrading systems soon!

Member: Banks don’t use the term QFS! That’s why they don’t know what you are talking about. It goes under another name in the industry. I forgot what though!
